Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Product Manager is the knowledge expert on product who supports Account Managers in driving overall business and product deal support by providing clinical and technical expertise on the modality (product solutions services) across the accounts.
  • Participates in defining and controlling of the implementation of the business policy pricing strategy and product/modality to be sold by the Business in the region according to established guidelines
  • Working together with BMs Sales Specialist informs and recommend customers the latest technological innovations developed and its associated configurations including the possible upgrades of the installed base attending the complaints and inquiries made in order to obtain a higher level of customer satisfaction and contribute to achieve the sales targets.
  • Assists ASMs with customer presentations specifically focused on the clinical and technical components of the value proposition.
  • Understand and address competitive positioning and marketing strategy of respective product / modality and supports where needed in identification of the tender/ quotation strategy
  • Technical staff originating sales by positioning GE technology and identifying the best technical and commercial solution. Promote the business value proposition of GE technology. Works in close cooperation with regional sales account sales and commercial proposal staff. Primary technical role involved in DTI (demand to inquiry): aim at increasing market penetration through technical support during preITO.
  • Developing indepth knowledge of sales territory product lines markets sales processes or customer groups. Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Indepth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Indepth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Most decisions are within a defined framework but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project product line market sales process or customers. Uses prior experience and onthejob training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Partners with Marketing to with input on sales tools pricing issues and competitive threats which enable Marketing to best support the Specialists and provide input to the Business

Required Qualifications

  • Requires an engineering background. MBA from an institute of repute shall be an added advantage
  • This role requires 5 plus years of experience in sales or product management experience in handling OT / Surgery field
