Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Physically load and unload containerized waste from straight trucks and van trailer
Prep and load customer supplies on straight trucks and van trailer
Move and organize containerized waste within the facility
Operate forklifts and assist with general maintenance.
Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the companys standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are followed.
Ensure superior customer service is provided.
General shop cleanup and maintenance.
Notify the Shift Supervisor/Operations Manager of any defects damages mistakes errors contamination spills other incidents or accidents that are identified.
Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness dumping s metal and garbage into rolloff bins and sweeping.
Maintain yard and warehouse organization and security.
Attend Household Hazardous Waste collection events to identify classify and separate waste. Load containerized waste for transport back to facility.
Other tasks as required.
Knowledge Skills and Competencies:
Forklift experience mandatory backhoe experience preferred but not mandatory.
Preferably (not mandatory) your own transportation to work.
Availability for overnight shift required.
Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
Excellent communication skills
Planning and organizational skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
