Provo City is looking for Ice Skating Instructors to do parttime instruction at the Peaks Ice Arena. Qualified civicminded individuals are encouraged to apply.

What is the compensation
$8.50 per hour. Payment will be by direct deposit.

What will I do
Instruct participants ages two to adult in ice skating from the beginning to intermediate level and assist the Figure Skating Coordinator as needed.
Assist Recreation staff members and perform other related duties as required.
What do I need to apply
Sufficient amount of related skill and/or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the job.
Preference given to candidates who have previously instructed or have ice skating experience.
What are the hours
Evenings Monday Friday and Saturday mornings.
What are the physical and environmental factors
This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work including standing and/or iceskating during instruction and minor bending; the ability to work outside in the cold and other weather conditions; and work with the public in possibly stressful situations.
What is the selection process
This is an open file posting. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted for any positions available at that time. They will remain on file for a minimum of 60 days. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Nondisclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six 6 months.
