Job Description

Reporting to the Wireless Research Senior Manager you will focus on field testing of interference among wireless communications systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in a cuttingedge research environment. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to conduct field tests analyze data and contribute to research on mitigating interference in wireless communications.

This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Energy Security Research Laboratory facility in Idaho Falls ID.

  • Undergraduate freshmansenior Master or PhD student enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering Computer Science Telecommunications or a closely related field

  • A minimum overall 3.0 GPA

  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L or Q clearance which requires US Citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Undergraduate Internships $25.65/hour $30.70/hour)

  • Masters Internships and PhD Internships PreCandidacy $31.75/hour $34.06/hour)

  • PhD Internships PostCandidacy $33.75/hour $36.06/hour)

  • Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.

  • MultiLevel: This is a multilevel posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on degree field and level of education.

INL is a sciencebased applied engineering national laboratory dedicated to supporting the U.S. Department of Energys mission in nuclear energy research science and national defense.
