Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Dunfermline Fife
Working Hours: 40 hours
Rate: Competitive to be discussed upon application
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS clients dynamic team based in Dunfermline Fife. This position is available for an immediate start on a shortterm contract offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of older adults mental health and social care needs determining the urgency of new referrals and agreeing on the most appropriate course of action. You will act as the Care Coordinator responsible for the assessment planning implementation and coordination of evidencebased care for individuals affected by mental health issues. You will oversee and manage clinical risks by carrying out clinical risk assessments and mitigating risks with personcentred care plans. Additionally you will provide support education and clinical supervision to the wider Community Services teams and offer specialist supervision training and consultation to colleagues. Active participation in service developments including the use of service user feedback and inhouse training will be expected. You will contribute to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols liaise effectively with other professionals and agencies and provide leadership to the team on a shiftbyshift basis promoting and maintaining high standards of care in a community setting. You will also effectively communicate with neurodiverse individuals and their families as well as internal and external staff and produce highquality detailed reports in a timely manner.
