At Five9 we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for our interns. We tailor our program to provide participants with real impactful work contributing directly to the continued success of Five9. Through our Speaker Series Intern Buddies Employee Resource Groups and other events youll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best in the business.

This is a fulltime paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon CA. This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M W TH) in office is required. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or midJune.

I have always been very careeroriented and this summer Ive realized how important it is to also focus on other aspects of my life. Meeting different employees at Five9 and hearing their career trajectory made me realize that everything will work out eventually and to take my time exploring my interests. However that doesnt mean I will halt all career goals. I plan to continue networking with industry professionals and building my knowledge on using different data analytics tools. The ideal candidate should be studying an IT development computer science or similar degree and have extensive development experience with JavaScript C# Python and other API technologies. In addition they should know the installation configuration platform operations and troubleshooting of API products. They should also have experience in API design coding standards and best practice principles and use of RESTful APIS.

As a key contributor to the Professional Services Team we are looking for a passionate selfmanaged individual who can work well with a cohesive team to help us delight our customers and grow our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing webbased tooling to support the use of RESTful services and APIs
• Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new internal tooling.
• Troubleshoot issues and solve problems identify potential process improvement areas.
• Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks.
• Write objectoriented clean and maintainable code.
• Deliver quality results on time with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Rising college senior or above pursuing a bachelors degree or masters degree incomputer science information technology or engineering
• Handson experience in building MVC based web applications using JSP/Struts framework.
• Handson experience in web servicesRESTful
• Knowledge of Restful API design patterns
• Experience using a development IDE such as VSCode or IntelliJ
• Experience using Git or an equivalent source control system
• Experience in using integration technologies such as REST and SOAP

Desired skills

• Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git SVN and Mercurial
• Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and Bootstrap
• Passionate about learning new tools languages philosophies and workflows.
