LOCATION: Tiffin University Tiffin OH

JOB TYPE: Parttime


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Recording Studio Manager & Arts Creative Lead oversees the TU Recording and Immersive Audio studios ensuring they meet academic cocurricular and entrepreneurial needs. Responsibilities include facility scheduling recordkeeping and establishing standardized usage requirements and training for constituents. The role also requires overseeing multimedia content creation in support of Arts recruiting including podcasts music videos and photography. This parttime role requires 30 hours per week during the academic year and 20 hours per week from May through July.

Requirements

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee usage of the recording studio and surround sound studio meeting the academic cocurricular and entrepreneurial needs
  • Manage recording studio usage paperwork and recordkeeping including split sheets and usage logs
  • Establish standardized studio usage requirements for TU student engineers and producers including training on studio equipment and software
  • Oversee the design of basic training programs available to students and external constituencies in software recording practices surround sound mixing
  • Oversee the use of studio facilities by external constituencies with a focus on time periods outside of the academic year
  • Oversee the production of multimedia content including podcasts music videos photography etc.
  • Oversee the development of marketing content to be used for Arts Programs recruitment
  • Provide leadership for the coordination of studio activities between faculty staff and students
  • Provide leadership for improvements in and growth of studiorelated curriculum and activities
  • Supervise student workers in support of recording studio use
  • Engage in recruitment communication with students having a recording studio interest
  • Oversee technology support as needed
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES FOR THE JOB

  • Bachelors degree in Music Music Technology or related field
  • Two or more years of experience working in recording engineering and production
  • Proficiency in ProTools Logic Photoshop and Premiere
  • Experience in content creation including video production photography and graphic design
  • Experience with immersive audio mixing
