Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems technical proficiency and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems wiring and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and resolve faults.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Assist in the installation and setup of electrical control systems and other electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes safety regulations and quality standards.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Collaborate with engineers contractors and other team members on electrical projects.
- Maintain detailed records of electrical work and prepare reports as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical systems and technology.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems wiring and control systems.
- Proficiency with electrical tools and equipment including testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various environments including confined spaces and at heights.
