APU is seeking a parttime Program Coordinator for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to work alongside a team of program staff to serve the School of Health Sciences Child Life Program. The staff team manages the daytoday program operations while helping the students and faculty across the school. The ideal candidate can perform under general supervision be highly organized and maintain outstanding customer service.
The Program Coordinator for Child Life will manage department activities as well as special projects for the undergraduate and graduate programs in Child Life under the direction of the Department Chair. The program coordinator will work closely with the Department Chair to manage student matriculation and administrative responsibilities of the undergraduate Programs. The coordinator is also responsible for overseeing the planning and managing of special events and activities for the Child Life Program.

The valuable ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining complex project schedules and managing organizational support is essential in this role. The ideal candidate is resourceful organized solutiondriven and sensitive to handling student records following the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In addition working with students and faculty across the West Coast requires a keen ability to navigate various technology applications systems and thirdparty solutions.
Required Education
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
Required Experience
- Three to five years of administrative experience.
- Four years of experience in a clientbased serviceoriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex priorities and systems.
- Worked well with team members across multiple campuses.
- Higher education experience preferred.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
The following primary functions include responsibilities in areas of customer service administration and general operations.
- Oversees and plans department recruitment organization and advising activities and direct advising of students needing guidance.
- Coordinate and submit course schedules to the Registrar in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Registrar any schedule changes in the Program.
- Interface with other departments in the university.
- Coordinate meetings and provide administrative support to the chair program directors and faculty of the department.
- Coordinates and facilitates special events for the department.
- Coordinates IDEA requisitions each semester.
- Manages correspondence with students.
- Manages social media department website and other communication with the community.
- Oversees program schedule calendar and reservations.
- Oversees the management of assisting faculty in various tasks.
- Oversees undergraduate program orientations new cohort launches student matriculation documentation and graduation and alumni events.
- Manages the hiring logistics for all new adjuncts. Manage correspondence with both adjuncts and faculty.
- Manages the faculty contracts by semester and interfaces with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure they are completed promptly.
- Records minutes in faculty meetings.
- Oversees the service and maintenance of all program resources and assists in purchasing resources as needed.
- Oversees the essential daytoday office functions: monitoring paperwork answering email and the telephone distributing office mail maintaining office files ordering office supplies processing mailings and duplication.
- Regular punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
General Operations
- Some program and school activities/assignments may include evening and weekend hours.
- Manage sensitive and confidential file systems in both digital and physical formats.
- Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
- Regular punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation
- Grade 7: $19.49 to $22.41 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications experience and internal equity. In addition to compensation APU offers a competitive benefits package.
