This is a fulltime 100 FTE salaried position. The scheduled shifts are primarily MondayFriday day shifts with some off shifts and weekends. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. You will work onsite primarily at American Family Childrens Hospital located in Madison WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing team at American Family Childrens Hospital as a Nursing Education Specialist (NES) or RNNursing Educator (NE) to:
- Facilitate and conduct the initial onboarding and continued professional development of nursing staff primarily at American Family Childrens Hospital (AFCH) with a focus on inpatient and procedural pediatric care.
- Areas of pediatric inpatient support include pediatric intensive care (PICU) and neonatal intensive care (level IV NICU). Areas of procedural/diagnostic support include the Diagnostic Therapy Center at AFCH.
- Curriculum and program development to support education for nursing staff at AFCH. This will include collaboration across departments. NICU or PICU RN experience is highly preferred.
- Assess plan develop implement and evaluate comprehensive educational programs.
- Participate in the promotion and delivery of new house wide initiatives.
- Complete assigned Nursing Education Specialist (NES) responsibilities based on needs of the department.

Qualifications
- RNNursing Educator: Bachelor of ScienceNursing degree (BSN) and must obtain masters degree in nursing (MSN) in relevant specialty within five 5 years of start date in this position. Required
- Nursing Education Specialist: Masters degree in nursing (MSN) Required
Work Experience
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience with position specific patient population Preferred
- 3 years of experience providing orientation and education for nursing staff in clinical setting Preferred
- Relevant experience in primary and specialty clinic settings for NES candidates working in ambulatory areas Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- National certification in relevant specialty Preferred
