Job Description

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving excellence in claims management

Were seeking a forwardthinking Claims Manager to lead our national claims function. As part of the Senior Leadership Group youll play a key role in positioning CoAct as a sector leader in claims and employment services.

This is more than a management role its an opportunity to contribute at a strategic level guiding performance compliance innovation and continuous improvement across our network.

Exploring the role

This strategic leadership role oversees a team of Claims Officers drives best practice and supports technologyenabled efficiency. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager the role also contributes to sector discussions on policy and operational impact.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and coach a team of Claims Officers managing programspecific portfolios (DES Workforce Australia TTW)
  • Lead training mentorship and skill development to maintain a highperforming team
  • Implement quality controls to minimise errors risks and audit exposure
  • Monitor claim trends processing times and success rates to identify improvement opportunities
  • Own and manage the endtoend claims process ensuring accurate and compliant submissions
  • Provide highlevel support to service partners including education resources and compliance governance
  • Collaborate with Operations Business Analytics and Service Partners to identify service innovations that drive performance and compliance
  • Keep the Executive General Manager and National Employment Services Managers informed of any business risks

What were looking for

  • Proven experience in claims management within Employment Services with strong contract knowledge and application in service delivery
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams developing staff and driving performance improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed correspondence and reports
  • Highlevel problemsolving and analytical skills with a focus on KPIs efficiency and financial sustainability
  • Extensive experience assessing and lodging claims with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret contractual documents and advise on system improvements to support performance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills including experience working with government service partners and industry bodies
