About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team and support the Data Governance programme. You will work closely with the Data Governance Manager and the Master Data Team to ensure Data Governance best practices are developed and implemented across the Packaging Division. You will also provide support to the Master Data owners in the development of new data assets.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
Support the development of Policies Procedures and Data Standards to be used within the Packaging Division.
Support the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries business term glossaries metadata catalogues and data lineage documentation.
Work with business representatives and Master Data domain owners to identify document develop implement and report data quality rules.
Support on the planning running and documenting Data Govertnance Council sessions.
Support on the analysis of data by profiling it documenting findings and recommending remedial actions.
Assist with the development of new Master Data assets providing analytical support on new data loads checking compliance with the specification and assessment of completeness & data quality.
Support the Master Data domain owners with user acceptance testing.
About you
Educated to a degree level preferably in Information Management Data Science Business or related field.
Proven experience in data governance data management or a related role.
Solid understanding of data quality principles and the benefits of accurate and actionable data.
Technical knowledge and experience in Data Governance Data Quality and Data Profiling tools.
Previous experience in working with large volumes of data; confident with MS Office 365 applications (PowerPoint Excel SharePoint).
Data driven methodical and solution oriented.
Curious commercially aware and willing to challenge current practices where appropriate in order to improve the impact master data has on the business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English other languages are advantageous.
Ability to work in a team and independently and engage with stakeholders across different business areas and IT.
