Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) JLVC Capability Manager for their Live Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Solutions Group (LSG). This person supports operational testing development and integration of Navy and Marine Corps LVC training systems to ensure they are compatible interoperable and meet the Fleets training needs. This position is located at I MEF Battle Simulation Center (BSC) Camp Pendleton CA.
Additionally this position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business customer and contractual requirements.
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR
7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR
4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
Must be familiar with Linux (command line) and Windows operating systems
Must have technical leadership ability. During LVC training event must be able to address technical issues by understanding which engineering domain problems belong to and then assign engineers from the appropriate domains to resolve issues.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable communicating at various levels of the organization. This may involve lower level technical collaboration on issues with assigned engineers or high level explanation of issues and/or status updates with senior leadership
Must be familiar with MS Office
A current CompTIA Security certification is required for the position
Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance
Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols such as High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS)
Familiarity with networking concepts architectures and protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
Experience with MS Visio software to produce technical architecture drawings
Knowledge of Navy C4I tactical systems such as Link 16 and GCCS
Experience working with Navy systems and/or commands
May require working in an office industrial field or laboratory environment.
