What Youll Be Doing
- Assist with the preparation and detonation of explosives.
- Work from a man basket at heights of up to 50 feet.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Handle and transport explosives safely.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of blasting equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Support the blasting team with various tasks as needed.
What Are We Looking For
- Ability to handle and transport explosives safely.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
- Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job including standing sitting pushing pulling lifting up to 75 pounds as when as other physical demands.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to postoffer preemployment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
- Ability to pass a Bureau of Alcohol Tobaccoand Firearms background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in an underground mine where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise level.
