Heard of GenAI and ChatGPT At New Relic we are constantly looking for new and exciting ways to use AI to improve our content and the way we work. From using it as a writing assistant to identifying and plugging gaps in the documentation we are an AIfirst team.

What youll do
Write edit and architect our docs. Ensure the content gets our users all the info theyneed without too much info getting in the way.
Scope and ship documentation for new features. You see the value in our products notjust the features and create docs that show off the value without boring our users.
Clarify complexity. Speak to developers in a language they can understand and writeapproachable technical documentation for complex concepts.
Work inperson with a highlycollaborative team of writers.
You discover gaps and opportunities and lead team discussions on topics from voiceand tone to improving our processes.
This role requires
Must have:
Proven experience as a technical writer for an agile software company.
Outstanding technical writing skills. You cut quickly through jargon write and rewrite untilyour meaning is crystalclear.
Youre passionate about software and you can prove it. You get handson with yourtools and software and make them work for you. You can read and write somecodeyoure not a developer but you know enough to ask the right questions.
Experience working with software developers so you know how developers think andcommunicate. Our products are built by devs for devs!
A strong opinion about the Oxford comma.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience authoring content in a static GitHubbased site.
- Knowledge of the observability industry or SRE practices and familiarity with the toolslike Kubernetes or AWS used to build modern platforms.
