Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for delivering food and supplies to the satellite receiving schools.

REPORTS TO: SNP Satellite Manager

SALARY SCHEDULE: G5

WORK DAYS: 200

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Education Level: A GED or a standard high school diploma from a GaDOEapproved and accredited institution is required.

Preferred: Food service or related courses at the technical school or college level

  1. Experience Skill and Certification:
  • Work experience with transporting mass amounts of food and/or supplies
  • Valid Georgia Drivers License without moving violations

Preferred: Commercial drivers license

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Loads and unloads food and supplies into truck for delivery to specified schools in a timely
  2. Delivers meals to assigned school kitchens on a tight time schedule to ensure that the food is handled properly using proper Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) food safety program sanitation methods including checking and recording temperatures of food on the temperature
  3. Maintains the cleanliness of the SNP vans and/or
  4. Assists the SNP Satellite Manager with perpetual
  5. Verifies meal counts and supplies with site
  6. Maintains the delivery van maintenance based on approved
  7. Assists satellite staff with food preparation and cleanup as
  8. Cleans and maintains the food carriers and related
  9. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the department and the

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will be considered at will. Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. The work calendar will be the 200 day food service classified employee calendar.

CLASSROOM:Employees in this category spend at least most of the workday in a typical classroom or related educational environment. There will be prolonged periods of standing or walking and there may be frequent bending stooping or stretching. There are occasions that require the lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies. Reading listening writing and speaking are requirements. There are few exceptional physical or sensory demands but there may be occasions that require the lifting or restraint of a student.

EXCEPTIONAL PHYSCAL OR SENSORY DEMANDS
