Job Description
This is a parttime temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Fire Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution OR equivalent combination of academic preparation and professional experience
Hold appropriate certification/s as required by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and/or the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office.
Copy of required certifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach didactic and laboratory courses. Assignments may be multicampus with day evening and/or weekend classes.
Develop course syllabi and materials.
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Work cooperatively with the EMS & Paramedic Program Coordinator
Work cooperatively with the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office
