Job Title: Certified Social Worker
Job Summary:
Location: Cedarhurst NY
Job Type: FullTimeExpertHiring is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Social Worker to support students emotional social and academic development. The ideal candidate will work closely with students families and staff to provide counseling crisis intervention and resource coordination to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counseling to students with social emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and administrators to develop and implement support plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify students social and emotional needs.
- Assist in the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and provide socialemotional support as needed.
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies to support students.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health and social development topics.
- Connect families with community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and reports.
- Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
- New York State Certification as a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW).
- Prior experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes behavioral interventions and student advocacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
