Job Description:
Iowa State Universitys Office of the Registrar seeks a Registrar Specialist III to join a dynamic and fastpaced team. Reporting to the Associate Registrar for tuition this position oversees tuition and fee assessments for the entire enrolled student population. This position regularly conducts tuition and fee audits updates business procedures and documentation oversees the course fee approval and assessment process and ensures adequate training and education on tuition and fee assessment policies and processes. It also manages special course registration for the campuswide learning community population and the university tuition appeal review and decision process. This position frequently serves as a key resource for the campus and external partners.
The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail strong communication skills and highlevel problemsolving abilities. Experience with tuition and fee policies student information systems and higher education operations is preferred. This role requires adaptability in a fastpaced evolving environment. Strong relationshipbuilding skills will contribute to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tuition and fee assessments special registrations appeals and course fees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assessment issues with campus partners.
- Oversee course fee approvals security access and Workday business processes.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Information and Information Technology Services on system configurations and audits needs.
- Communicate policies and handle complex inquiries.
- Maintain tuition and fee webpages and update annual refund schedules.
- Lead tuition appeals and outofterm withdrawal decisions.
- Oversee tuitionrelated projects and process improvements.
- Manage Learning Community registration and reserved seating.
- Support student orientations and advisor training related to special registrations for new students.
- Train supervise and develop fulltime staff.

Example of Duties
- Ensures accuracy of tuition assessment through regular management of audit processes.
- Analyzes problems related to tuition and fee assessment and collaborates with other teams across campus to determine proper solutions.
- Provides guidance to direct staff over complex customer accounts and tuition assessment questions.
- Responds to customer calls emails and inperson appointments.
- Regularly reinforces and communicates assessment policies to the campus community.
- Identifies areas for process improvement and develops plan for implementation.
- Solution test and implement new tuition assessment configurations to accommodate new programs of study and new assessment rules.
- Provides guidance and training for other staff in operational areas as needed.
- May participate in strategic planning for functions of specific responsibility.
