General Summary of Position:
This being a promotional opportunity only current UML Employees within the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position.
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) provides assistance to faculty and research staff in all aspects of applying for accepting and managing external research funding. The Sr. Grants and Contracts Administrator position facilitates the institutional review and approval of proposals for research funding in accordance with sponsor and university policies processes grant awards and contracts for acceptance and and initiates account set up and nonfinancial post award management of sponsored awards. This position and office works closely with the Vice Chancellor for Research Innovation and Economic Developments offices as well as other administrative units across the campus and throughout the University system to provide efficient and effective research administration support services to the UMass Lowell research community. The Sr. Grants and Contracts Administrator also takes an active role in training and mentorship of junior research administrators within OSP and on campus as well as the design and implementation of new processes and technologies to support research administration.Some opportunities for remote work available.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
*Will consider candidates with High School Diploma or GED/equivalent and 12 or more years of experience.
