East Liverpool City Hospital is an awardwinning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees the hospital averages 31000 Emergency Department visits annually. East Liverpools medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services general surgery medical stabilization for substance abuse behavioral health for adults over the age of 55 and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. Know Your Rights: Pharmacy Intern assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations and participates in performance improvement and data collections Pharmacy Intern is responsible for dosage preparation preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique floor stock delivery prepackaging billing receiving and stocking. Other responsibilities include inventory control controlled substances distribution documentation and accountability assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. All responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulations. The Pharmacy Intern participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics. The Pharmacy Intern performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist.
