In thisentrylevel role youll support patient treatment plans within an interdisciplinary team ensuring a safe caring and respectful environment for patients at the Wyoming State Hospital.Whether your background is in customer service or human services we welcome your commitment to helping others. Wyoming State Hospital will also pay for you to attend and obtain your CNA license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Monitor patient behaviors while providing support and nursing interventions.
Encourage appropriate behaviors that enhance participation in recovery.
Act as a patient advocate.
Assist patients with daily planning.
Document patient progress during hospitalization.
Participate in shift change reports and team meetings.
Assist nurses with milieu management and work environment safety.
Utilize deescalation interventions as necessary.
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to applicants with current CNA certification or customer service experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping others.
KNOWLEDGE:
Education & Experience Substitution:
13 years of progressive work experience (typically in Human Services)
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
CNA Certification obtained within twelve 12 months of hire
Education:
Associates Degree (typically in Healthcare)
Experience:
No prior experience required

A background check including fingerprinting will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation the Wyoming Department of Family Services and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
Preemployment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safetysensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.

New state employees and temporary employees accepting a permanent position.
Current state employees accepting a promotional opportunity recruitment must have been open to the public.
One year of service in the position must be completed. Failure to complete this requirement will require reimbursement of the bonus with the funds deducted from the final pay.
Internal candidates will be required to remain in the position for a minimum of 1 year from the promotion date.
Employees will only be eligible for 1 hiring bonus in a 12month period.
