Know Your Rights: John Hospital in Leavenworth Kansas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide highquality nursing care to patients in the medicalsurgical unit ensuring the best possible outcomes and maintaining the hospitals standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians in the medicalsurgical unit.
Administer medications perform wound care monitor vital signs and carry out physician orders accurately.
Assist with patient assessments document patient conditions and update care plans accordingly.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care ensuring patients are informed and comfortable.
Educate patients and families on disease management medications and postdischarge care.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients visitors and staff.
Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Current and valid state license
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
