About this role
We are hiring for a Senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Field Service who provides technical guidance to junior team members. Performs complex diagnostic procedures. Communicates technical information to technical/nontechnical people that may include senior management. Contacts and meets customers on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects following project processes and where applicable provide direction to assisting Project Engineers and Field Engineers.
- Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget ontime and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning billing revenue forecasting A/R collections and reestimating costs of installation projects.
- Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope.
- Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors identifying issues and take corrective action plans to remedy any issues.
- Performs onsite services for new and existing clients which may include equipment servicing and equipment upgrades.
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter expert and performs diagnostic procedures.
- Interprets test information to resolve design/systemrelated problems and ensure continuous improvement.
- Communicates technical information to technical/nontechnical stakeholders that may include senior management and meets customers daily or as required to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided or outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements upgrades or repairs.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of Project Management Experience
- 5 years of experience in Construction HVAC or Building Automation
- 1 years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Clean and valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls 3 or 4year program)
- Field experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of Automated Logic Controls
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Strong problem solving planning and project management skills
- Ability to read and understand scope of work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of project financial reporting
- Experience in dealing with a number of simultaneous challenges requiring knowledge of many different disciplines
- A true team player who has the customers best interests first and foremost
