Job Title: Project Accountant - Major Infrastructure Project

Contract Type: Full-Time

ERSG are seeking an experienced accountant to work on a major infrastructure project for one of our established clients. This 230 million project plays a critical role in enhancing the UK's electricity network, and you'll be a key part of the commercial team, helping to manage financial operations and support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyors with financial reporting and analysis.
• Process and review payments for labour, agency staff, plant hire, and subcontractors.
• Validate invoices and supporting documentation, including material delivery and tipping dockets.
• Maintain and update cost control systems, ensuring data accuracy across the project.
• Track and reconcile project expenditure against budgets, highlighting variances.

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with experience in the construction or infrastructure sector preferred. Tunnelling will be highly advantageous
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with project cost control processes.
• Experience working with document control or finance platforms (e.g. Asite, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset.
