Job Description

Job Title: Quality Manager
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: On site
Location: Calgary AB
Job Type:Fulltime

Our Client is seeking a highly experienced and strategicQuality Managerto lead and enhance their quality assurance and control processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the companys quality vision ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving a culture of continuous improvement. This role involves highlevel stakeholder engagement risk management and leadership in aligning quality initiatives with business objectives.

Role Description

  • Develop implement and manage the companys Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Coordinate with the Clients Airworthiness authorities to ensure that technical airworthiness functions are performed in accordance with technical airworthiness requirements and the ClientsAirworthiness Process Manual (APM).
  • Establish and maintain quality policies procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits including supplier audits and work with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of nonconformances.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive audit program that covers all operational and contractual requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance data identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee and guide the quality team ensuring alignment with corporate objectives customer requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including engineering operations and supply chain to enhance product and process quality.
  • Liaising with project managers and team members to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for qualityrelated matters with customers suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Engage with senior leadership customers and key stakeholders to champion quality performance and drive strategic partnerships.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality standards best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and oversee inspection testing and validation processes to ensure product conformity.
  • Ensure effective risk management strategies are in place to mitigate potential quality and compliance risks.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing quality plans and ensuring designforquality principles are applied.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Quality Management or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in quality management with a proven track record in aerospace defense or hightech manufacturing.
  • ASQ Certification (CQM CQE CMQ/OE)
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Qualification.
  • Deep expertise in ISO 9001 AS9100 and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in leading a small diverse team and managing complex quality systems.
  • Strong background in strategic planning risk management and decisionmaking.
  • Proven success in leading crossfunctional teams and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and business enterprise systems

  • Certified Technical Engineer
  • Technical Inspector Certification
  • Project Management experience
  • CF18 or other aviation experience
  • Basic Airworthiness training
  • Quality Training Instructor
  • IPCA610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Endorsement
