The Transportation Technician works as a team member with other ancillary personnel under the direction of the department head to provide transport and delivery services throughout the hospital restocking supplies and equipment and helping to maintain the overall order and function of the department.

These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner per the mission values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center and HIPAA regulations. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care service and courtesy toward all patients staff physicians and volunteers.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Fulfill administrative needs like office pickups
Research and plan for traffic construction and weather delays
Use navigation applications to determine the best route
Interact with clients professionally at all times
Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
Keep mileage records and repair records uptodate

Driver Requirements:

A valid drivers license.
1year driving experience.
Extensive knowledge of the operating area.
Physical strength and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Good verbal communication.
Proficiency using GPS devices.
