An 8 bed cardiac focused intensive care unit that provides care to critically ill patients with cardiac diagnoses. Nursing staff work alongside multiple providers and care teams to implement a multidisciplinary care team approach for patients and families. Skills and specialty equipment include advanced airway management continuous renal replacement therapy wound management normothermia management invasive hemodynamic monitoring titration of continuous infusion medication drips care of fresh CABG patients IntraAortic Balloon Pump management and Impella management. - Location: High Point Medical Center High Point NC

What Youll Need
- Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- 1 year of nursing experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care Adult ED
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED Peds ED PICU and NICU and other areas per unit guidelines
Job Responsibilities (Not Limited To)
- Patient/Family Centered Care:Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process and focusing on the physical emotional spiritual cultural religious and environmental needs. This includes providing for the assessment development of nursing diagnoses outcome identification planning implementation of interventions coordination of care health teaching and promotion and evaluation of goals and interventions consistent with the policies of WFBMC.
- Safe Therapeutic and Healing Environment: Maintains a safe therapeutic and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive respectful accepting and professional behavior.

- Pointofcare Testing: Performs and maintains competency for pointofcare testing as assigned waived and or nonwaived ensuring compliance with WFBH policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a passionate patient advocate throughout the continuum of care advocating for their needs and preferences in all patient settings including the community.
- Care Management and Clinical Prioritization: Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services by applying care management principles. Identify clinical priorities and initiate action to continuously improve patient outcomes.
