The City of Tukwila is seeking to hire four 4 Seasonal Parks Maintenance Workerswho will report directly to the Parks Maintenance Supervisor. The position is responsible for doing park rounds ensuring the sites are neat and tidy. This includes trash pickup tidying garbage cans and debris pickup. Also is responsible for setting up and tear down of shelter rentals. Other duties include landscape maintenance tasks.

Tukwila Parks and Recreation is home to 159 acres of parks 12 miles of trails Foster Golf Links and the Tukwila Community Center. The department develops and maintains parks and facilities and offers a wide range of recreational events programs and services for all ages.
Tukwila Parks Department mission statement is creating clean safe and well managed parks that inspire activity. The Parks Department is actively seeking a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker who is punctual energetic enthusiastic a selfstarter and flexible with the ability to work weekend hours especially during the Summer season.
These positions are seasonal/temporary positions. Positions will not exceed 1040 hours in a 12 month period. Parks and Recreation Department has currently fill four 4 positions as follows:- Two 2 Seasonal Maintenance Worker scheduled varies base upon business need starting from 6:30am 3:00pm Tuesday Friday
- One 1 Seasonal Maintenance Worker scheduled varies base upon business need starting from 6:30am 3:00pm Friday Monday
- One 1 Seasonal Maintenance Worker scheduled varies base upon business need starting from 1:00pm 9:30pm Friday Sunday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to operate equipment such as mowers backpack blowers line trimmers power tools hand tools and related small equipment.
- Landscape management activities may include:
- Lawn care activities
- Horticultural care activities
- Graffiti remediation
- Working in support of other positions performing various skilled and semiskilled work
- Park management activities may include:
- Trash pick up
- Event support/Shelter Prep
- Basic janitorial work
- Working in support of other positions performing various skilled and semiskilled work.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Physical Abilities:
Positions in this class typically require: climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling reaching standing mobility pushing pulling lifting grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Education Experience and Other Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
(A) Must possess a valid Drivers License;
(B) Must be able to work with limited supervision.
