Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Skill in researching and interpreting rules and regulations.
- Ability to use reason and logic to identify and solve problems.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting business public administration or finance.
- Two years job related experience in accounting health insurance billing and collection or related fields.
- Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a casebycase basis.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Business and Financial Services Division in Helena.
This position investigates residents liability for the cost of medical and mental health services. Other responsibilities include but not limited to: Interviews residents inperson or via phone to obtain financial information as necessary; notifying Medical Billing Technician and Facility Reimbursement Specialist of bad debt collections; and Monitoring Medicaid eligibility notices and provides notice of nonpayment received to prevent lapse in coverage.
