Mission Recruiting is proud to represent a wellestablished law firm in Pasadena that is looking to expand its Employment Law practice by adding a skilled Associate Attorney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an attorney with a passion for employment law who is ready to take on significant responsibility and build a successful practice.
In this role you will work directly with employers handling a variety of employment law matters with a focus on managing PAGA claims. The firm offers a supportive environment where you will manage your caseload while collaborating with partners and associates on complex cases.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing an independent caseload focused on employerside employment defense particularly PAGA claims.
- Drafting comprehensive employer handbooks that provide legal protection.
- Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings motions and other legal documents.
- Preparing clients for hearings handling depositions and representing clients in mediation and arbitrations.
- Keeping up with changes in California employment law to provide clients with the most current legal advice.
- Collaborating with colleagues on more intricate cases and offering legal support for business and business litigation matters as needed.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- J.D. and active membership in the California Bar.
- At least 3 years of experience in employment law specifically representing employers.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in legal writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle a high volume of cases.
- A genuine passion for employment law and a drive to grow your practice.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The firm offers a competitive salary ranging from $105000 to $155000 along with:
