Job Description
We are seeking a talented midlevel associate to join our Litigation Group in the Chicago office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters across a variety of industries with the potential to get involved in emerging areas like cybersecurity and data privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of litigation including discovery brief writing and pretrial preparation.
- Manage complex commercial claims such as contract disputes fraud breach of fiduciary duty noncompete litigation and mergerrelated disputes.
- Work on joint venture and partnership disputes bankruptcy and restructuringrelated litigation and statutory claims.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and other dispute resolution processes.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- JD from a toptier law school.
- 35 years of experience in complex commercial litigation ideally in a law firm setting.
- Strong experience in discovery brief writing and pretrial preparation.
- Exposure to cybersecurity and data privacy law is a plus.
- Excellent legal research drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
- A proactive teamoriented approach to legal practice.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $235000 $420000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
