Job Description
At Freddie Mac you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and youll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Security Perimeter team! This role will provide administration of the firewalls on prem and in the cloud. Other opportunities include automation through scripting companywide new application implementation and other secure perimeter activities for the Freddie Mac infrastructure and applications across multisite enterprise cloud and data center environments. This role also includes a bimonthly oncall rotation and will assist with troubleshooting firewall tickets.

Your Impact:
Collaborate with the business as they are our customers. We have many daily requests for the business which need to be responded to in a timely manner.
Improve our audit evidence gathering. We are heavily audited and need to streamline our evidence capturing processes.
Handle a que of request that come from the business (our customers).
Advise the business on current perimeter configurations and upcoming changes
Execute to completion any task given to you.
Resolve correctness of different firewall request in accordance with our controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in information technology engineering computer science related field or equivalent experience.
5 years of professional IT experience with implementation and administration of any firewalls and other secure perimeters
Solid grasp of Palo Alto Networks products with a focus on NextGeneration Firewall and some comparative technologies preferred
Experience with WAF and Proxy Technologies
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages Python or Perl
Experience of AWS security and CFT
Experience with infrastructure automation platform Ansible terraform
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
Linux skills
Experience with Networking and troubleshooting
Ability to prioritize work without management oversight and provide clear detailed status updates to the management and the team.
Advanced problemsolving skills and ability to work optimally under tight deadlines.
Experience in supporting encryption and/or security appliance devices.

This position has an annualized marketbased salary range of $126000 $190000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.Required Experience:
