Job Description
A bit about the role:
As a Senior DevOps Engineerwithin ourFoundations Tribe youll play a critical role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and developer experience. Initially your focus will be onoptimizing our CI/CD pipelinesto boost developer velocity andreviewing our monitoring and observability setupwith evaluating our use of Heroku on the list. This role offers a mix oftechnical leadership handson problemsolving and crossteam collaboration. Youll work closely with engineers a technical product manager and stakeholders to design scalable efficient and resilient systems.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Enhance and streamline our continuous integration and deployment pipelines to improve reliability and speed.
- Review and improve our monitoring logging and alerting systems to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution.
- Database monitoring work on databasemonitoring and alertingto proactively prevent performance bottlenecks.
- We estimate this role will be approximately 60 focused on developer experience vs 40 infrastructure work.
- Proven experienceas aDevOps or Platform Engineer with handson expertise.
- Strong AWS and Terraform skills with a track record of designing and managing cloudbased systems.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelinesand best practices to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
- Passion for developer velocity continuously finding ways to make engineers more productive.
- Strong problemsolving skillsand a keen eye for detail.
- Selfstarter mindset able to take ownership of projects and drive them forward without needing explicit direction.
- Bonus Pointsfor experience with:
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and optimising set up
- Measuring and improving developer productivity usingDORA metrics.
- PostgreSQL and security best practices.
