What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Level 2 Sonic Inspector at our growing facility in Columbus Georgia. Columbus Forge a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is available on Weekend Night Shift (Friday Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 pm 6:30 am).

• Conduct Ultrasonic inspection functions in a manufacturing environment
• Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required
• Work with Material Control Lab and manufacturing personnel to investigate problems encountered through inspection and determine their effect upon the part
• Complete classroom theory OFT and certification examination in addition to recertification requirements as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
• Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
• Responsible for signingoff product inspected
• Perform daily walk around of equipment maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
• Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications

Qualifications You Must Have:

• 2year technical degree in a NonDestructive Testing program OR Certification in Ultrasonic Inspection
• In absence of a technical degree must have 4 years of work experience in NonDestructive inspection
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ultrasonic Immersion Inspection experience
• Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment and proficiency with quality procedures

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products including Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of KB and IRT Ultrasonic systems
