Our Project Delivery Group (PDG) helps clients with worldclass project delivery from studies to building assets operating the assets and developing efficiencies through our people methodologies governance and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe efficient and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining infrastructure and energy sectors.
This is an exciting contract role with Hatchs Project Delivery Group in Sudbury Ontario. The Planner/Scheduler must have experience in Underground mining construction and will be required to maintain project schedules at site in close cooperation with engineering procurement construction commissioning teams and contractors on site.
Responsibilities:
Understandingplanningscope of work deliverableslevel of engineeringstudy schedule and executionscheduledevelopment and maintenance.
Compile the baseline schedule then track the schedule and make necessary changes to schedule as required.
Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required to the owner / EPCM.
Make schedule forecasts to foresee problem areas on the schedule and notify management when these situations arise especially when they affect the critical path.
Establish lookahead schedules and present/review with the project on a weekly basis(example:3 weeklookahead or100 day lookahead).
Communicate with senior management in accordance with the limits of authority.
Schedule change management. Asses schedule impact of changes and incorporate into the schedule forecasts.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have812years of progressive experience in developing and maintaining detailed engineeringprocurement andconstruction schedules construction progress methodologies and earned value metrics.
Underground miningandmine developmentexperiencesarea must
Experiencein planning and schedulingofMine Infrastructure for surface and/or underground operations.
Heavy Industrial experience is an asset.
Proficient user of P6.
Previous experience as Planner/Scheduler on EPCM/ EPCprojects.
