Job Title:Laboratory Chemist

Job Description

A Laboratory Chemist working in hydraulics may have responsibilities such as:

Coal and Coke Sampling: Collect prepare and analyze coal and coke samples in accordance with established sampling procedures ensuring accurate representation of the material for analysis.

Laboratory Analysis: Perform chemical and physical tests on coal and coke samples including proximate analysis ultimate analysis calorific value ash content sulfur content volatile matter and other relevant tests.

Data Recording and Reporting: Accurately record test results and prepare comprehensive reports. Interpret analytical data providing insights and recommendations as necessary.

Quality Control: Ensure that all laboratory tests are conducted according to industry standards and safety protocols. Maintain high standards of quality control for sample handling and analysis.

Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly. Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues when necessary.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health safety and environmental regulations in the laboratory setting. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in coal and coke testing.

Collaboration: Work closely with other laboratory chemists engineers and production teams to support quality control initiatives and troubleshoot material issues.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all testing processes results and corrective actions taken
