Job Description
Senior Public Health Engineer
Up to 65000 plus bonus benefits and generous holiday allowanceLondon (with hybrid working)
Are you passionate about the built environment and looking to work on some of the most iconic projects in the UK Joining this awardwinning building services consultancy gives the opportunity to work with some of the industrys most talented and experienced engineers committed to building a more sustainable future and providing expertise across on some of the most complex and challenging projects within the commercial residential hospitality industrial mixeduse healthcare and education sectors.
As Senior or Principal Public Health Engineer you will join the multidisciplinary Building Services Engineering design team in London. You will have excellent design technical and software skills and enjoy working collaboratively in design teams take responsibility for projects from inception to completion and be instrumental in assisting with the production of drawings reports and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Preparing design concept schemes design detail drawings calculations tender documents and reports related to public health plumbing fire protection and gas services.
- Production of engineering design and detail in accordance with project requirements applicable codes standards and client requirements
- Preparing design calculations drawings and 3D model input
- Perform interface coordination tasks with other disciplines
- Writing technical reports and specifications and checking reports calculations and drawings by other engineers
- Developing and implementing design best practices ensuring conformance with codes and client requirements
- Preparing hydraulic calculations for plumbing drainage & firefighting systems.
- Design of Hot & Coldwater Distribution Rainwater Wastewater & Drainage Systems Fire Suppression Systems etc.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Civil Environmental Science or Building Services Engineering.
- Understanding of building services and design principles of public health systems.
- Demonstrable experience of public health / fire protection systems calculations and system sizing.
- Experience in the design of systems and specifying equipment to comply with building regulations industry standards regulations and specific client standards.
- Ideally working towards achieving Chartership with a professional institution.
