Cryogenic Service Technician Responsibilities
- Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install troubleshoot repair and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
- Uses a wide variety of hand power and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings gears structural components etc.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
- Specific responsibilities include: Safely troubleshoot repair and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors pumps fans blowers boiler systems valves and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
- Plan and execute maintenance tasks and completion of all followup documentation.
- Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
- Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerize maintenance database.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma/GED required
- 3 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferred
- Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity Management of Change Operating Procedure Elements
- Knowledge of welding techniques
- Knowledge of high pressure piping systems
- Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems
- Basic Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications
