Position Summary

The Sanitarian has a primary duty of developing implementing and overseeing all environmental health and safety programs at Allegiant Stadium.

This role ensures compliance with federal state and local regulations promotes a culture of safety among employees and guests and supports the stadiums sustainability initiatives. The Sanitarian plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible venue for all events and operations.

This role pays an annual salary of $70000$80000.

For FullTime roles: Benefits: Health Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) savings plan 401(k) matching and paid time off (vacation days sick days and 11 holidays).

This position will remain open until June 20 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Program Development: Design implement and manage comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe environment for employees contractors and guests during all stadium events and daily operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and other relevant federal state and local regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in safety and environmental laws and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for all staff including emergency response procedures proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents incidents and nearmisses to determine root causes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans including evacuation procedures and coordination with local emergency services.
  • Conduct regular drills to ensure staff readiness.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Support and promote Allegiant Stadiums sustainability programs such as waste diversion energy efficiency and water conservation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to achieve environmental goals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections training sessions incident reports and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Vendor and Contractor Oversight: Ensure that all vendors and contractors comply with the stadiums safety and environmental policies.
  • Conduct safety orientations and monitor compliance during projects and events.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve safety and environmental performance.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the stadiums EHS programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S. in Environmental Health Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety management preferably in a large venue stadium or similar environment.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar EHS certifications are preferred.
  • Indepth knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and LEED certification processes is a plus.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Detailoriented proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Basic computer proficiency: Email Excel Word Outlook.
  • Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends as required) depending upon event and business requirements.
  • Must be able to project a professional manner and appearance and communicate effectively with clients staff and the general public.
  • Able to conduct inspections in various areas of the stadium including walkind climbing and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to varing weather conditions during outdoor inspections and events.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects (files boxes product trays).
