Description
RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading freight logistics company to fill the position of Seafreight & Airfreight Import Controller. As an Import Controller you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the import process for both seafreight and airfreight shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth and efficient import operations for both seafreight and airfreight shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping lines airlines customs agents and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate import documentation and customs clearance.
- Monitor shipment status and address any delays or issues proactively.
- Handle invoicing billing and payment processes related to import shipments.
- Maintain uptodate records ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
- 37 years of experience in freight logistics specifically in seafreight and airfreight import operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in relevant software and systems used in freight logistics.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
