CMM Programmer


Salary: Competitive Shift Allowance
Location: Tamworth
Job Type: Permanent


What does the role involve

EMBS Engineering is working with a longstanding prestigious precision engineering client located near Tamworth who are looking to recruit a skilled CMM Programmer on a permanent basis.
The business is a leading specialist in manufacturing complex safetycritical components for a number of high profile markets.
Due to continued success and further growth our client requires additional support within their quality department.
This role will predominantly support the quality department with internal activities related to part inspection. You willprepare and record inspection reports and all related documentation in line with company requirements.

Key responsibilities as a CMM Programmer include;

  • CreateCMM Programs (both online & offline)
  • Creating inspection reports
  • Review nonconformance ofparts
  • Review inspection of parts from suppliers to ensure they conform
  • Perform Equipment TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance)
  • Update the quality system
  • Inspection of parts using manual standard gauging as well as CMM with PC DMIS software

What experience do you need

  • Strong CMM experience having worked within precision engineering environments
  • Inspected small to mediumsized detailed components which have been supplied into; Motorsport Automotive Aerospace Medical Petrochemical Defence etc.
  • Ability to program both online & offline using PCDMIS software
  • Worked with various materials including; aluminium steel castings cast iron
  • Ability to manually measure parts using conventional equipment shadowgraphs verniers micrometres etc.
  • Complete inspection reports
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
