Job Description
Role Purpose:
At Jumio the Software Development Engineer II Web will lead the development of highly responsive scalable and userfriendly web applications. This role involves creating exceptional frontend experiences using modern frameworks like React Angular or Svelte optimizing performance and maintaining seamless API integrations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping Jumios cuttingedge Identity Verification products driving excellence in user experience and setting a high standard for frontend engineering practices.
TShaped Engineering Expectation:
As part of Jumios engineering culture you will adopt a Tshaped engineering approach by contributing across the development lifecycle. This includes actively participating in UI/UX design discussions optimizing web performance and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Your ability to collaborate across teams and ensure seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Frontend Development Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain responsive and userfriendly web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React Svelte and Angular.
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into highquality maintainable code.
- Optimize web applications for performance scalability and crossbrowser compatibility.
- Build reusable components and frontend libraries to ensure consistency and future scalability.
- Implement state management solutions to manage application workflows efficiently.
- Integrate APIs and ensure smooth communication between the frontend and backend systems.
UI Testing Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain automated UI test frameworks using tools like Playwright.
- Perform functional regression performance and endtoend testing of web applications.
- Create detailed comprehensive and wellstructured test plans and test cases for frontend features.
- Debug and troubleshoot UIrelated issues to ensure application stability.
- Develop and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure adherence to frontend development best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
MustHave Skills:
- Proven experience: 3 years in frontend development with expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript HTML5 and CSS3.
- Handson experience with frameworks such as React Angular and Svelte.
- Proficiency in UI testing frameworks like Playwright or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSocket integrations.
NicetoHave Skills:
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AIpowered coding/testing tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of Cucumber (BDD Framework) for behaviordriven development.
- Exposure to performance testing tools for frontend applications.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g. MaterialUI Ant Design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization tools like Docker.
- Basic understanding of backend development for enhanced collaboration on API integrations.
- Exposure to Java and Spring Framework is a plus.
