Job Description
The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People Places & Systems group in all areas of applied statistics analytics and data science for internal operations. Our team works to deliver a wide range of insights and solutions for Roblox from developing industryleading hiring assessments to architecting data analytics systems and tools. In this role you will join an elite group of analysts and data scientists who are focused on collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to design and support Robloxs approach to leadership people development and organizational design and culture. We are responsible for creating and managing Robloxs data warehouse analytical tools and reports which are used by internal stakeholders throughout the company. Our focus is on optimizing performance and ensuring code maintainability. We prioritize transforming data to align with business objectives and offer a solid data foundation and expert mentorship to support datadriven HR initiatives. The role will be based onsite full time in Gurugram India.
Timings 2pm to 10:30pm IST (Cabs will be provided)
You Will:
- Partner with teams within the People Places & Systems organization to identify key metrics trends and analytical needs focusing on improving and scaling analytical offerings.
- Analyze large data sets to distill insights and connect disparate ideas into meaningful stories that drive strategy action and executive decisionmaking.
- Diagnose operational breakdowns at their root causes and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver efficient and comprehensive solutions.
- Support data management analysis and reporting to drive insights for partners and executives using our people data ecosystem.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and analytical requests while addressing stakeholders longterm needs.
You Have:
- 9 years of experience as a data scientist data engineer or in a related role.
- Proven experience leading production data pipelines or working with modern data warehouse stacks such as dbt Airflow Looker AWS BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Advanced technical knowledge of statistical analysis software like Python or R.
- Development expertise to prototype custom analytics and tools collaborating with other team members to architect scalable cloudbased data solutions.
- A consistent track record of mentoring junior team members fostering growth and helping define roadmaps for the team.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and in collaborative team environments.
