Job Description
Systems Planning Corporation (SPC) a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking qualified motivated and skilled Construction Inspectors / Coordinators to provide quality assurance oversight and work performance and compliance services on transmission line and/or substation construction projects throughout the MidAtlantic and Southeastern states. This is a contract position.
This position is in anticipation of more growth and is an evergreen position. As such the timeline to hire is unknown and will be as needed. If you are interested in this type of work we encourage you to apply and we will reach out when we are ready to move forward. It could be several months.
Construction Inspector / Coordinator will oversee the activities associated with transmission line and substation site preparation and access road construction. Duties include general oversight of contractors performing the work stormwater management along with documentation of permitting requirements. Duties may also involve the oversight of contractors during the rehabilitation of transmission line work.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of walking in steep varying terrain in all climate conditions.
- Must be able to drive.
- Must be capable of lifting 20 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate with client and Contractor.
