Responsibilities:
Provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel COM personnel and others at the direction of DS/RSO including invasive and pharmacological interventions within the Contractors Scope of Practice and in alignment with the National Emergency Medical Services Scope of Practice and WPS III IDIQ Attachment 13 Clinical Protocol Guidance
Perform daytoday personal protective security functions.
Drive the lead vehicle principals vehicle followvehicle and/or act as a response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
Maintain assigned protective formation position during principals walking movements.
Participate in advance security preparations.
Staffs the security post at the principals residence or man the command post or other static post as required.
Qualifications:
For bio approval the PSS/PARA shall meet the following qualifications:
Applicants must pass the preemployment Physical Readiness Test (PRT) in order to advance in the application process for the position.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess current and active National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as a paramedic.
Must possess current approved Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Professional Rescuer certification or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Training credentials i.e. International Life Support (ILS) or PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent.
Must have successfully completed the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course or an equivalent tactical trauma course of at least 16 hours duration within the last ninety 90 days. Completion of the PHTLS or ITLS course required in subparagraph C above does not satisfy this requirement. A 63hour (TCCC) course is required prior to deployment.
Must possess the following:
Upon bio approval and before beginning work on the contract the PSS/PARA shall:
Attend and successfully complete the PSS training course as outlined in WPS III IDIQ Attachment 2 Training.
Qualify with the Glock19 M4 or MK18 as specified by the designated TO M240 and M249 requalifying as required in WPS III IDIQ Attachment 2 Training.
Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as identified in the TO.
Complete the WPS III Physical Readiness Test per WPS III IDIQ Attachment 15 Physical Readiness Test Protocols and Standards at the sixtyfive 65 percent performance level and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the TO.
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.
Based upon the needs of the program and Project Management discretion qualified individuals may be required to temporarily fill an alternate position.
