Job Description

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

  • 8 years of overall experience on capital projects from feasibility through construction.
  • 6 years of applications engineering experience and 4 years in a lead role or related experience with engineering design of oil and gas production (upstream) facilities piping systems equipment specifications and safety systems (API 14C).
  • Familiarity with various project phases and the scope/deliverables required.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word Excel OneNote) preferred.
  • Experience working in CAESAR II software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to train and travel to onshore or offshore facilities preferred.
  • 69 years of experience within engineering companies for oil and gas production (upstream) facilities.
  • Experience with process piping systems and/or related specifications.
  • Experience with performing and analyzing pipe stress.

Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:

Required:

  • Recognized Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABETaccredited college or university.

Preferred:

  • Registered or in process to obtain Professional Engineering license preferred.

Purpose:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer researches develops engineers and designs a variety of equipment components products and systems for offshore upstream production facilities petrochemical and industrial purposes. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of principles theories concepts industry practices and standards and their application. The engineer is responsible for performing calculations and designs within assignments working under minimal supervision with all work reviewed for adequacy upon completion. The role may provide technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.
