The University of North Alabamas College of Arts Sciences and Engineering invites applications for a fulltime nontenure track Lecturer position in Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies beginning in August 2025. The individual selected for this role will serve as Graduate Program Coordinator for our online Masters in Professional Studies (MPrS). In this capacity the successful candidate will provide leadership in recruiting prospective students advising developing curriculum conducting program assessments and teaching courses within the graduate program. There may also be opportunities to teach in the undergraduate interdisciplinary studies baccalaureate program. This position will remain open until filled. The standard teaching load for lecturers is five courses per semester 5/5. However acknowledging the demands of graduate program coordination the position includes a onecourse release each fall and spring semester. The Graduate Program Coordinator will also receive a stipend for administrative duties performed over the summer.
To be considered candidates must hold a doctoral degree and must have completed interdisciplinary graduate coursework with preference given to candidates with coursework in one of the Master of Professional Studies areas of emphases (Higher Education Administration Information Technology Community Development and Security and Safety Leadership). Previous experience with online pedagogy and program coordination is highly desired. A record of teaching excellenceparticularly at the graduate levelis preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills alongside a collaborative approach to working with students faculty and staff will be key to success in this role.
