How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Preparing equipment sizing sheet to support the estimation effort during proposal
Determining the Turbomachines performance (productions utilities consumption efficiency)
Work closely with Mechanical Design Engineer
Establishing Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) material/heat balances
Sizing main equipment pipes valves relief valves and flowmeters
Participating in Design Reviews (Process Design Basis meeting PFD review PID review HAZOP)
Assessing technical offers for main equipment
Reviewing the information pertaining to process on the drawings/sketches
Writing performance test protocols.
Taking part in the elaboration of the operating manual of the unit
Supporting the in house test and analysis of tests results
Time to time commissioning startup and performance test of the plants and the operators training
Studying patents
Preferably 2 years experience in the TurboExpander System Engineering Manufacturing Environment and Designing Rotating Equipment
Very good written and verbal communications skills. Coordination between the Project Proposals Estimation Sales and Process & Systems Departments as well as the various disciplines are key to the success of this position.
Very good technical writing ability for reports with supporting data and references
Good understanding of various equipment/ instrumentation used in Cryogenic plants
Very good problem solving skills: Will be called upon to take independent decisions.
Asset to hold EIT (Engineer In Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) license
Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines work independently and partly from home.
Short term travel locally (Houston) or internationally (mainly France) is possible depending on the assigned work tasks
Notion of French language is an asset
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $108000 $120000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/ training key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
