The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring that deliveries are timely and meet the companys quality standards thereby supporting the organizations overall success and strategic objectives.
This position reports to the Head of Operations and will be a part of the Procurement Team located at 4560 Tillicum Street Burnaby BC Canada. This is an onsite role.
What you will do:
- Review MRP daily to create and manage purchase orders in alignment with manufacturing production schedules and customer demand
- Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and on time with necessary followups on order deliveries
- Negotiate pricing contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value
- Maintain and update supplier records including part pricing and key contacts; ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Facilitate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on product nonconformities and ensure timely resolution to minimize schedule disruptions due to quality concerns
Who you are:
- Bachelors degree in business Supply Chain Management or combination of equivalent education and experience
- 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Industry with 3 years in Procurement
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be able to work within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency of assigned tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise at all levels
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Understands BOM structures and ensuring procurement aligns with engineering specifications and requirements
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)

The salary range $63000 $70000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
